Dr. Yael Fuchs

Dr. Yael Fuchs is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist.  Based in Brooklyn and Manhattan, she conducted a thriving solo private practice since 1995.  After 27 years of delivering babies, performing gynecologic surgeries, treating and guiding patients, she has decided to dedicate her practice to office-based general gynecology.

This decision allows Dr. Fuchs to exercise her extensive experience in all aspects of gynecologic care giving focus to the areas of her particular interest, such as young adult and menopausal gynecology.

Dr. Fuchs enjoys enduring relationships with her patients and is beloved by them for her informal style, her ability to explain, educate, and encourage, and for her untiring dedication to their gynecologic health.

As a leader in her field, Dr. Fuchs has been serving on the Medical Board of New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital for over 10 years and has served as President of the Brooklyn Gynecological Society (the oldest continuously active gynecologic society in the U.S., founded in 1890).  Since 1995, Dr. Fuchs has held the academic title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Weill Cornell Medical College.  Additionally, she has participated in many community-based women’s health initiatives reflecting her commitment to the wellbeing of women. Dr. Fuchs’ love of teaching garnered her multiple ob/gyn resident medical education awards over 27 years as an attending physician at the hospital.

Education & Training

Dr. Fuchs received her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Queens College of the City University of New York.   She received her M.D. degree at S.U.N.Y. Downstate College of Medicine where she  completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
